Our Story

It all started out of nowhere...

In 2022, I was living out in Las Vegas playing professional football in the Indoor Football League. My living situation was...interesting. I was making around $200 a week so I had little money to go out and really do anything. I didn't have a car, so I couldn't go anywhere. Which would have been okay, but our practice schedule was only from 7 AM to around 12 PM. Moral of the story, I had a lot of time on my hands.

With that time, I worked on art and animations, played video games, and spent a lot of time doom scrolling. I came across an ad for a class on running your own record label. It was once a week and only took about an hour. I thought it would be a good way to network with artists to try and get some extra cash doing album artwork for them.

As I learned more about the music industry and record labels, I slowly became hooked. I became so intrigued with every aspect, the marketing plans, the project rollouts, the music itself. I found different ways that I could be creative, while also helping artists to pursue their goals.

Though I had no background in music, I believed that running my own label was something that I could do, and do well. So I decided to take the leap and give it a try. On June 21st, 2022, Broken Record Music Club was born.

Music for whatever you're going through.

I started the label with one goal in mind: to make a difference. Music has always been a tool for me to use when I was struggling. The artists we listen to everyday help us feel seen in what we are going through, whether good or bad. That's why there are playlists for everything from sad girl hours to summertime vibes. Music conveys every conceivable emotion and listeners look for the artists that make music they can emotionally resonate with.

That's why our goal is to work with artists that are saying something with their music. And that's why Broken Record Music Club promises to give you:

While I was still playing for various professional football leagues, I managed a number of different artists in different genres across the country. Once my playing career ended, I came back home to Illinois, where I decided to plant our label flag. We have now shifted our focus to artists in the Midwest, primarily in the state of Illinois.
